Children – hope for nature
If we want our future generations to understand that nature can take more care of itself, we have to address, educate and engage the children and plant an idea of a positive co-existence with nature. To achieve this, Rewilding Europe develops youth education programmes and activities for children and youth in our rewilding areas.
For all conservation work to be successful, we need to address the young generation directly, on their terms and through actions that they appreciate. This is for two main reasons: within a 10–20 year period, the young generation will be taking over. They will be adults, voters, economic actors and decision makers in society. If they become more positive towards nature, wildlife and rewilding ideas, that will have an enormous positive impact on the long-term success for Europe’s nature. Especially so in the areas where endangered habitats and species exist.
Choose this cause to support children’s activities in two of our areas: Western Iberia and Southern Carpathians.
