Rewilding Europe Travel Club – July 2014 draw

June 24, 2014

How about roaming with European bison in the wild Țarcu Mountains, in the Southern Carpathians in Romania? Or five days to enjoy Abruzzo, one of the most interesting wildlife areas in Italy, where bears still live and are frequently seen? Or go for birdwatching in Grande Brière, the second largest marshland in France and a land of unspoilt salmon rivers, scrub land, heath land and forest, surrounded by warm emerald-coloured oceanic waters. These are the top three quality offers for the first draw of the Rewilding Europe Travel Club in 2014.

Bison watchers in the Tarcu mountains nature reserve, Natura 2000 area, Southern Carpathians, Romania. The release was actioned by Rewilding Europe and WWF Romania in May 2014.

The Grand prize trip offer is ”Rewilding bison in the Tarcu Mountains, Romania”, a 4 four nights/ 5 days trip provided by Wildlife Worldwide, UK. You will see the small herd of European bison that was reintroduced to the Southern Carpathians in May after a 200-year absence, accompanied by an expert who will also explain about our rewilding work in this region. Visit the newly-built Bison Interpretation Centre to hear more about this magnificent creature, and the story of its reintroduction, one of the biggest ever in Europe.

You also have the chance to win a visit to the Abruzzo, Italy’s wild heart in our Central Apennines rewilding area, where you will have the possible opportunity of seeing bear, wolf, deer, golden eagle and wild boar, and join a photo tour.

If you are an avid birdwatcher and photographer, Birdwatching in Grande Briere, France is a trip to see numerous species of waders, like avocet, black-winged stilt, snipe, redshank, golden plover and many more, both as year round residents and also as passage migrants…

The draw will be at the end of July. Shortly after the draw we will announce the lucky winners on our web site and connect them by an individual e-mail with the trip providers.

We would like to express our special gratitude to Wildlife Worldwide, the provider of the Grand Prize in this draw, and lots of thanks also to all the other tour companies that kindly offered these fabulous wilderness and nature trips.

We wish all the members of the Travel Club the Best of Luck for the draw! If you haven’t yet signed up, please do so here and you will have the chance to win a fantastic nature trip in Europe!
