The Rewilding Europe team is looking for a new, passionate, dedicated and experienced colleague to fulfill the position of Regional Manager (maximum 1.0 fte).
He/she will be responsible for the coordination of the set up and management of 5 new rewilding areas in Europe on behalf of the Central Team.
Rewilding Europe works to make Europe a wilder place, with much more space for wildlife, wilderness and natural processes; bringing back the variety of life for us all to enjoy, and exploring new ways for people to earn a fair living from the wild.
Rewilding Europe has a team of people working from different European countries and currently works with 5 rewilding areas in different locations in Europe.
The coordination of the rewilding areas is done by Regional Managers; currently one such Regional Manager is working with the first 5 rewilding areas. We have now started to further expand our portfolio and are looking for a second Regional Manager, to cover 5 additional rewilding areas.
Job Description
The Regional Manager is co-responsible for the implementation of Rewilding Europe’s main strategy and objectives, focusing on the following key components:
- To coordinate and oversee the development and project cycle management of 5 additional rewilding areas: Central Apennines, Thracian Mountains, Odra Delta, Greater Laponia and a 10th area, still yet to be determined. These areas might change depending on the most appropriate distribution of rewilding areas between the Regional Managers.
- To coordinate and oversee the rewilding components of these rewilding areas, including the participation in the European Wildlife Bank, the European Rewilding Network and other centrally led rewilding initiatives.

Starting date: Preferably 15 February 2014.
The location from which the Regional Manager will work, is flexible but has to be agreed.
